This guest post comes from our great 3rd grade team about their recent field trip to Richmond.
On
Tuesday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 6th, the Baker-Butler 3rd graders
traveled to Richmond to visit the VMFA museum! We did the “Taste of the Ancient
Worlds” tour and took self-guided tours of the 20th century exhibit, Faberge
eggs, and touch museum. Our 3rd graders saw many amazing artifacts of Ancient
Egypt, China, Rome, Greece and Mali. Some highlights include an Egyptian mummy,
Greek pottery and Roman statues. This field trip truly brought our studies of
Ancient Civilizations to life! We appreciate the generous financial support
from our PTO and the many parent volunteers and chaperones who helped make this
trip possible!
