This
year’s SCA members were busy! Besides planning and publicizing the
school-wide Spirit Days, they sponsored a canned food drive for the Blue Ridge
Area Food Bank. They also helped to raise over $700 for Wells for South
Sudan and over $1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They are
currently sponsoring a drive to collect items for the SPCA and have initiated a
petition asking the Child Nutrition Program to make a change to school lunches
next year. We are so proud of the leadership and hard work of these
students!

We are very proud of our 8 runners, and we'd like to say a special
thanks to Coach Eleni Heeschen and teachers Lisa Baker, Aimee Travers, and Nicole Erdim for supporting and
cheering them on.
We will also be receiving $250 for our win. Our runners were Drew, Jake, Micah, Graham, Isaac, Reed, Aaron, and Noah. Congrats!

4th graders are learning to solder!
Mrs. Whitenack's 4th graders began learning to solder
today.
With help from parent Mike Moxham, students learned the basics and began
assembling their own blinking "Makey" badges. They had a great time!
